The best Saturday in Calgary doesn't happen in Calgary. Leave at 6 AM, coffee gone by Bragg Creek, gravel under the wheels by 7. 21 litres of fuel and 350 km of range between you and nothing but mountains and forestry roads. The engine fires unevenly and you feel every pulse through the handlebars, not smooth, not quiet, just unmistakably alive under you. Testers keep saying the same thing, you forget it has a 21-inch front wheel because it corners on Highway 1A like a naked bike and then eats a fire road for lunch. You get back to Calgary by noon, not tired but recharged. DesertX Discovery. 110 hp V-twin. From $20,595 CAD, $343 a month at 0% for 60 months. Alberta: 5% GST only. DM us DESERT. We'll build you a Kananaskis route and set up a morning you won't shut up about. #BlackfootMotosports #DucatiCalgary #DesertX #Kananaskis #DucatiAdventure #DualSport #SaturdayRide #AlbertaMoto #ADVLife #DucatiDiscovery

Your neighbour's Ducati horror stories are from 2008. He never owned one. The myth is that Ducati maintenance is a dealbreaker. The reality is 15,000 km oil changes and 30,000 km valve service, longer intervals than most people expect. Alberta riding season runs May to September. At 6,000 km per year your first valve service is five riding seasons away. Alberta charges 5% GST with no PST, so $15,395 comes to $16,165 before transport, while BC or Ontario would add around $1,000 more in tax alone. The 2026 Monster pushes valve service to 45,000 km while the 937 sits at 30,000 km. Both are longer than your neighbour thinks. Monster 937 Plus. 111 hp. 179 kg. From $15,395 CAD, $257 a month at 0% for 60 months. Alberta: 5% GST only. DM us MONSTER. We'll send the real five-year cost of ownership breakdown, just numbers. #BlackfootMotosports #DucatiCalgary #Monster937 #DucatiMonster #NakedBike #MaintenanceMath #AlbertaMoto #LTwin #Testastretta #DucatiLife

Paris-Dakar 1990. The engine that won is still here. Every other adventure brand uses parallel twins because they're smooth and predictable and easy to build. Ducati put a 90-degree V-twin in a dirt bike on purpose. In 1990 Edi Orioli won Paris-Dakar on a Cagiva Elefant powered by the same 90-degree Ducati engine architecture that's sitting at Blackfoot Motosports right now. A parallel twin delivers power like a garden hose, steady and even and forgettable. The V-twin delivers it like a heartbeat, and on gravel you feel each stroke telling you whether the tire is gripping or slipping. DesertX Discovery. 110 hp. 937 cc V-twin. From $20,595 CAD, $343 a month at 0% for 60 months. Alberta: 5% GST only. DM us DESERT. Seventy years of Desmo. The 937 is the final chapter. Since 1956, every Monster ever built has used the same Ducati valve system. The 2026 is where that changes because it switches to spring-driven valves. That system pushes every valve open and pulls it shut mechanically, which is why the 937 feels sharp and crisp where other engines feel soft near the top of the rev range. The 2026 Monster 896 replaces it with spring-driven valves. Lighter and cheaper to service. Genuinely better for most riders. But it doesn't sound the same when you open it up. This isn't manufactured urgency because the replacement engine already exists, and when the 937s leave Blackfoot's floor they're simply gone. Monster 937 Plus. Last Desmo Monster. 111 hp. 179 kg. From $15,395 CAD, $257 a month at 0% for 60 months. Alberta: 5% GST only. DM us MONSTER. What if fifteen minutes could end three months of comparing? Three months of comparing online, reading every review you can find, watching comparison videos at 2 AM because you still can't decide. Then you throw a leg over the V4 and pull out of the Blackfoot lot, and the engine fires in twin pulses you feel through your palms, not smooth, not quiet, just unmistakably alive under you. First roundabout and 187 kg leans in like it weighs 170, because the crankshaft spins backward and the bike changes direction easier than anything this heavy should. Fifteen minutes later you pull back in, helmet off, and you know. Not because of the numbers but because of the feeling in your chest that no amount of research prepared you for. Panigale V4 S. 216 hp. 187 kg. From $38,295 CAD, from 1.99% APR over 36 months. Alberta: no PST. DM us PANIGALE. We'll book you 15 minutes that will end three months of going back and forth. The Crank That Spins Backward

WHY DOES A V4 LEAN EASIER THAN A LIGHTER BIKE?

Why does a V4 lean easier than a lighter bike? Every superbike engine crank spins the same direction as the wheels, every one except this. The V4's crank rotates opposite, straight from the MotoGP program. Spinning wheels resist leaning and a normal crank adds to that resistance, but a backward-spinning crank cancels it, so the bike changes direction easier than anything at 187 kg should. On 1A toward Canmore, those sweepers after the Kananaskis turnoff, the V4 flips side to side with a push on the bars while the alternative takes real muscle to do the same thing. Your wrists will talk after 45 minutes because that's the honest trade for a full race riding position on the street. But in those 45 minutes this chassis does things no other production superbike can replicate. Panigale V4 S. 216 hp. 187 kg. Counter-rotating crankshaft. Desmosedici Stradale V4. $38,295 CAD. This bike will not make your commute comfortable. It runs hot in traffic, your wrists talk after 45 minutes, it costs $38,295, and it needs a valve service between $1,500 and $2,500 at 30,000 km. Now you know everything. Because the V4 S wasn't built for your commute, it was built for Saturday morning on 1A toward Canmore with nobody ahead and mountains getting closer with every corner. The popular alternative costs about $8,000 less and does 95% of what this does. The other 5% is the part you'll still be talking about when you're 70. Every V4 owner we know bought it for the same reason, not the numbers but the moment they realized life is too short for the sensible choice. Panigale V4 S. 216 hp. 187 kg. $38,295 CAD. From 1.99% APR over 36 months. Alberta: no PST. DM us PANIGALE.
